  • 13:30:18: Learn something new every day: today's speaker says net neutrality isn't about burning your bra.
  • 14:10:48: Problems in net neutrality research: no data, and some people won't put any stock in the theoretical models. It's all about money anyhow
  • 14:12:54: While this talk is interesting, it's mostly making me glad I'm not researching net neutrality. Sounds incredibly frustrating on many levels.
  • 14:17:57: @elwing Mostly "just do it" -- I trained someone to be a web dev in a couple of hours on a whim. He had a job as one within 3 months.
  • 14:19:54: @elwing But that was years ago. Nowadays, I'd recommend poking around and joining an open source project for legitimacy. Drupal? Wordpress?
  • 14:22:38: I am totally using gangsta lorem ipsum for my next website mockup: http://www.lorizzle.nl/?feed=1 (thanks @serenangai!)
  • 14:32:32: Even after years of teaching, I can still be completely stumped by an error message. I'm both pleased and dismayed http://ur1.ca/244hl
  • 14:53:55: Enterprise JavaScript is... Hilarious: http://enterprise-js.com/7 (ditto for http://enterprise-html.com/18 and http://enterprise-css.com/8)
  • 14:59:29: @Chronotron yeah, the mac cult irritates me constantly. I always forget the name of my numbered version. :P
  • 22:45:27: @alex_mck That was rather the point. :)
  • 22:47:12: @alex_mck That statement didn't really make sense even *in* context. Eventually he did say that net neutrality wasn't about freedom, though.
